Why should I consider "wasting" my vote on a small 3rd party that has no chance of winning this time? I'd rather be practical.

If you feel the Democrats and Republicans are doing a good job running our government, then by all means vote for them. If you don't believe this, you probably recognize that the current two-party power monopoly has to be broken. SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE! While the popular response to this problem, "political reform", is on the lips of many politicians today, repeated calls for reform have not led to improved responsiveness on the part of government. The major parties have simply become more entrenched, less attuned to the public, and our personal and economic liberty more abridged. Casting your vote for the major parties is throwing good money after bad.

Sure, the Libertarian Party is small, but any party is small when it starts. What separates us from them is that we function on a consistent set of principles. You must decide if those principles reflect your own. If they do, then the only moral choice is to support the Libertarian Party. Trying to pick a winner from the two choices offered plays into the hands of the major party power brokers. If everyone waits for a party to become large before joining it then it will never grow, and the death-grip on power continues unchallenged. If people vote Libertarian, our vote totals will rise. This rising vote count persuades more people that we have a chance of being a major party in the future and they will consider joining also. In any population, there are leaders and followers. BE A LEADER! VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE! After all, how many votes have you thrown away in the past, supporting candidates who said one thing and did another? With a vote for the Libertarian Party, you can be confident that your trust will not be betrayed. At the very least, Libertarian solutions will be considered more carefully by the poll watchers.

Many parents start planning for their children's college fund as soon as they are born. Isn't it time now to plan for the kind of country you want your children to inherit?

If people are willing to work, it may not take that long. Would you have predicted in 1990 that the Soviet Union and its Communist Party would no longer exist today? For most political offices in this country we only have one more Party on the ballot than they did. Isn't it time we broke our own power monopoly?

We think it is important to defend ourselves from politicians taking our money and wasting it, and to work for a return to freedom and individual rights in this country. Just before the founding of this country, many colonists didn't feel it was "practical" to think we could gain freedom from England. But they acted on their principles and fought for their beliefs. This is the level of commitment needed today to make a real change in politics. Do your part -

VOTE LIBERTARIAN!
